Scout 80/800 wanted near Indiana

I am looking for leads on an 80/800 somewhere here in the midwest. Trying to find something that runs isn't rusted too bad. Been looking for a while without much luck. I have been using search tempest for craigslist and looking on ebay. I am following the advice of a couple members here to keep looking. So if you have something let me know....

Hello and welcome fellow Hoosier! I've said it before and will say it again - get a trailer, take a few days vacation and make a road trip out of it. Between Search Tempest and watching this site you will find something and will be light years and money far, far, far ahead (I'm restoring a midwest Scout right now - trust me on this one!)

thanks rick...i have read about your scout with the first 304. after i saw you responded here i looked at it again. did you have it shipped to you? i found another scout im interested in and was looking into getting it shipped. trying to find a good shipping company. from what ive seen online so far looks like some shady stuff happens. you have any experience with a local auto shipper?

Mine was in town here. I think for what the cost would be to ship it you could pay for a several nights in a hotel, meals, gas... A co-worker of mine just had an Impala shipped in from CA and he didn't seem to have a good expierience. (I think it was over a grand and this was on an open trailer)

I forgot there is one guy locally that still goes after Scouts/parts out west a few times a year - if you want I can dig his number up (but again, I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap)

hey rick thanks for the help. i decided after getting offers from different shipping companys i would just go get it myself. anyway ebay auction won...hopping to pick it up tues/wed if it runs as well as he says ill be driving it to the vintage truck magazine truck show in ohio on sat. im excited

there is a mint condition scout 800?..it looks like the truck varient in st louis..its on craigs list..
